Hi,

Just wanted to check if someone has feedback on the SGMII to SGMII question. In this case it would be a connection between 2x J7ES devices.

Hello Gunter,

The CPSW supports PHY less mode with SGMII to SGMII connection. This is enabled in TI PSDKRA 6.2.

What is the speed you would be configuring SGMII in?

The customer would need 2.5Gb at minimum. Is that possible with SGMII?

Is it possible to do this with the QSGMII/XFI ports at 5Gb?

Hello Gunter,

2.5Gbps is supported with SGMII.

We can get 5Gbps with QSGMII but it uses 4 ports. XFI is not yet supported in TI SDK.
