AM5716: ECC function for DDR

AM4378: Does ECC Feature supported with DDR3 or DDR3L?

Hi team, 

We have selected AM4378, does it support ECC feature on DDR3L interface. In the datasheet I could not find much information. 

We have selected IS43TR85120ECL (1.35V DDR3L SDRAM with ECC) part to interface with AM4378.

I have below queries, 

Do Processor also need to have  ECC feature in the Microprocessor (AM4378) to be ECC complaint?

Does it associated only with DDR3 RAM to have ECC feature.

    The AM437x does not have any ECC support.  I can't speak for the ECC support that is available in the ISSI device

    That ISSI device is designed to be utilized with devices that don't support ECC in the controller.  That's a good fit to use with AM437x.  If there's a soft fault in the memory (e.g. due to radiation) then it will auto-correct it for you.
