Some questions regarding Falcon boot for DRA71x SDK:

Is there any drawbacks of using this solution?

Does it fix the location of the kernel?

Can the customer locate the kernel in eMMC?

Somewhat related on this last point, would there be any blocking of doing A/B partitioning of the eMMC?

Hi John,

There is no drawbacks for the falcon boot mode & this is nothing but fast boot mode.

The SDK 6.03 supports only SD boot mode & this will not supporting EMMC & QSPI boot mode.

We have a plan to add the EMMC & QSPI boot support to SDK6.03 in future.

Suppose if we are trying a falcon boot mode from SD card then the Kernel image should be present in the Boot partition.
