    What does the OOB demo constitutes?

    Answer:-

    Pre-requiste: 

    1. ------- Windows 10  OS ( with 64 or 32 bit ) with teraterm 

    2. ---------TMS320C6678-EVM 

     

    What does the OOB demo constitutes?

    It constitutes the Information about the EVM, Diagnostics test, benchmark test,

    Flash test (NOR,NAND,EEPROM ) and tests for internal and external memory and much more.

    Instructions on how to  run the OOB demo of C6678 EVM?

    Please follow the steps one by one

    Step-1 :

    • Insert DVD which comes along with the board and install USB COM Driver located at paths,
    • PATH -  \drivers\DPins32.exe  (32 BIT machine
    •               \drivers\DPins64.exe  (64 BIT machine)
    • or download from here: DRIVERS.zip

    Step-2 : 

    Ensure power connections,  emulator connections between PC and EVM.

    • Connect 12V DC Power supply to Power Jack of the EVM.
    • Connect mini B type USB Cable to the USB Port of the EVM for emulator connection and the other end to the PC.
    • Connect Ethernet cable between EVM and PC.

    Step-3 :

    • Ensure DIP switch settings as shown above for
    •      SW3 - 0010 ,
    •      SW4 - 1111
    •      SW5 - 1110
    •      SW6 - 1111

    Step-4:

    Once the USB mini cable is connected,  recognize the “XDS100 Emulator” in the Device manager window of the PC.

    Step-5:

    Open Hyper Terminal or Tera Term in PC.

    Set the serial port number in which the XDS emulator is recognized in the Device manager.

    • Reset the EVM by using Full Reset Button

    Step-7:

    • IBL gets booted and launch the HUA demo. 
    • Copy the IP Address fetched by the EVM which gets displayed on the tera-term.
    • Here the IP address displayed is 192.168.2.219

    STEP-8:

    • Feed the same IP Address, “192.168.2.219” in any Browser. It will launch the out of box demo as shown below.

    Step-9:

    • Using this demo, You can try out various diagnostics test, benchmark test, Flash test (NOR,NAND,EEPROM ) and tests for internal and external memory 

    For example, LED blink test is shown in the below picture etc.

    1. LED FLASH -1 >>> D1 Blink
    2. LED FLASH -2 >>> D2 Blink
    3. LED FLASH -3 >>> D3 Blink
    4. LED FLASH -4 >>> D4 Blink
