how HDVPSS can be reset when issue occurred?

Dear Champs,

Could you please let me know how HDVPSS can be reset when issue occurred?

The SW is EZSDK v5.04.00.11.

My customer implemented 2ch FHD(1080p30) inputs in DA8168, but found 2nd channel was hang when they unpluged/pluged video cable. There was no issue in 1st video channel.

They found there was no response from CAP component of HDVPSS when FTB requested and want to reset HDVPSS only at this time for workaround, but could not find a method.

They tried OMX Deinit/Init again, but they found memory leakage occurred after 10~20 times trials.

So, they think HDVPSS reset is only way to solve this issue immediately.

Could you please help on this?

    Hi SI,

    Why do you want to reset complete HDVPSS? 

    It is just the capture which is hung, so we just need to reset capture/VIP. There is an ioctl in the capture driver to reset individual VIP. Please call this ioctl to reset VIP, it should recover from the hang.

    But why did it hang? Did you see any overflow in the VIP?
