TMS320C6678: FPGA UCF file

Hello all,

Where can I find the .UCF file used with the FPGA for C6678 EVM. Advantech provides the source code (Verilog files) but not the UCF file!?

Hi Murad,

As you stated, Advantech provides the source code (vhdl files) for the FPGA:
-EVM RTL Code RTL Code Verilog files:
wfcache.advantech.com/.../C6678 EVM FPGA code reference_20120424.zip.rar

But they also provide the FPGA firmware (.bit file):
- EVM FPGA File FPGA RTL file:
wfcache.advantech.com/.../TMDSEVM6678L_EVM_A104_FPGA_v000D.rar

I am aware of the bit file but we are designing our own board based on the C6678 EVM with some added features to the FPGA and need to generate our own .bit file

Murad,

The FPGA source files are provided for your free use as sample code. We do not provide a full FPGA build environment. This would require that we support customers modifying the FPGA on the EVM. This is beyond our ability to support. A full functionality description of the FPGA is contained in the EVM TRM.

I understand your concern regarding customer support. I only need the .ucf file as is to save me time and constraints errors when building my project. I also use C6657 EVM from einfochips and they provide the whole thing!

Murad,

We have different support for some EVMs. We decided to support it for C665x EVM. We do not provide full file set for C6678 EVM. This file cannot be provided for the C6678 EVM.
