for a new design I will be using OMAP L138 to boot from external serial flash connected to SPI1_CS0. The crystal we are using for OMAP is of 27.0 MHz value. what clock speed OMAP L138 uses to transfer boot-loader from SPI flash by default. Do we create image in SPI flash for 27 MHz crystal ?
Default clocks: For I2C and SPI master-boot modes and UART-boot modes, the bootloader applies default peripheral clocks settings as shown in Table 6.

Yes, you need create new image with clock changes. I hope you are referring to the u-boot image.
