I'm now doing 3D visual inspection and motion control on the am5728. But the performance of 3D vision is not very ideal. It takes about 3S to detect an object. I want to improve the speed of 3D detection, and also need the chip to support EtherCAT bus. Is there a better and more suitable chip to recommend? Can you tell me the specific model? thank you!
Please let us know what is driving EtherCAT bus requirement and if you can work with standard ethernet interface without EtherCAT bus SW?

Now we need to do the project is: sorting products on the assembly line, need 3D positioning to identify objects, and then the robot grabs and sorts the objects. At present, 3D is based on DLP. The camera uses USB3.0 camera, which may be replaced by GE camera in the future. At present, the robot is controlled by EtherCAT bus, which needs a Ge network port. At present, it is found that the higher version of Ti SDK can not support both standard Ethernet port and EtherCAT bus. At present, Ti has launched dra829, which is a car grade chip. Is this chip suitable for us to use? thank you!

Yes, DRA829 chip has the capability to support your requirement.
Note# There is no EtherCAT SW stack support in this SDK.
