Dear TI,
We are working on our application implementation to TDA4.
In the documentations there is a figure that mentions some attachment solutions for the CSI-2 port.
We also have some cameras here (and deserializer boards too). Could you recommend them to use with TDA4?
Hi Gergely,
Please find answers to you questions below
1, Yes, Fusion board is the same as the one mentioned in the userguide
2, I dont think there is any Leopard image daughter card available for sensor/camera input. Could you please help me with where you find this figure?
3, We currently support only fusion board for the camera input.
4, We do have support for AR233 sensor, but i am not sure which one you are referring here "Leopard LI-AR0233". could you please share more details?
Regards,
Brijesh
Dear Brijesh,
The figure I attached is from https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/SPRUIS4A, revision 2019, December.
I have to correct myself, I wrote the wrong camera model.
We have parallel output AR0233 and MIPI output AR0233;
and also this module: https://www.onsemi.cn/support/evaluation-board/mars1-ti913-gevk

Gergely
Hi Gergely,
This image seems to be corrected now. I dont see Leopard Imaging Daughter card on Figure-3.
This onsemi link is showing usage of ub913 serializer, we have not really tested ub913 based camera with fusion board and on J7. But having said, ub960 available in fusion board works with ub913 also. You require correct configuration for SERDES and sensor..

Brijesh
Hi Gergely,
MARS AR0233 cameras supported are based on TI953
https://www.onsemi.cn/support/evaluation-board/mars1-ti953-gevk
LI cameras should also work as long as they have a 953 serializer. Sensor driver may need minor tweaks to account for HW differences, but rest of it will be reusable.

Mayank
Dear Brijesh
I think it's a bit ambiguous or it's just me.
Do you mean you have never tested ub913 serialization with the Fusion board,
or do you say that the ub960 deserializer on the Fusion board is compatible with ub913 serialization?
BR,
Gergely
Hi Gergely,
I meant, we have not verified with ub913, but it is expected to work with ub913 serializer also. so please get the SERDES config and try it out, it should work.
Regards,
Brijesh
