TRF372017: operation temperature of the WH2302E-40C31

Hi Team,

Please advise on the following subject.

Question:

Q1. Does the reference clock quality impact to the constellation quality?

Q2. Can you let me know the operation temperature of the WH2302E-40C31 on the evaluation board.  I can not access the datasheet of this device.

 I evaluated TRF372017 performance on the evaluation board.

It showed good performance at a room temperature, however,  the constellation spots getting blur,  bit error rate increased, at a high temperature condition.

When I replaced the WH2302E-40C3 with another crystal oscillator, the EVM showed good results despite of the high temperature.

    Hi Nishie,

    1. yes, for EVM% demodulation, the quality of the clock and local oscillators will directly influence the demodulation performance

    2. Unfortunately, no, I do not have access to the datasheet either. These crystals are generally pin-compatible as you have mentioned. Please make sure to pick one with sufficient temperature profile for your applications.
