HDC2022: Calculation for worst case accuracy

Part Number: HDC2022

Hi team,

Could you give me comment on following customer question?

Q1. Is it correct understanding that the worst case accuracy is  5.5%RH as maximum, which consists of +/-3%RHACC,max and +/-2.5%RHLTD,max (=0.25%/yr*10yr)?

The RHLTD shows +/-0.25RH/yr as typical under typical conditions (at 30deg and 20% to 50% RH), but the customer is not sure what value is "maximum or worst case". Can 0.25%/yr be considered as worst case value?

Best regards,

Takeshi Sasaki

  • Hi Takeshi,

The HDC2022 has a typical accuracy spec of +/-2% RH and a max spec of +/3% RH, which is also the worst case value.

The +/-0.25% RH shifts are caused by external factors such as dust or chemicals and they can be avoided if the sensor is protected from the contaminants.
