Hello,

I need to detect vehicle presence from a sensor on the ground (one per each parking spot).

Given the product family presented here: https://www.ti.com/sensors/mmwave-radar/overview.html , which will be the most appropriate for our application?

We need it to be small, accurate and low powered.

I believe the ones with on-package antenna are a simpler choice, at least for evaluation.

HI,

For parking spot occupancy detection, all of the board should work. If you want to skip antenna design in your final product, you can choose AOP device.

Different EVM board and AOP devices all should have same range/doppler accuracy and same power consumption. The major difference is different antenna design will result in different angle field of view and antenna gain. You can check https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=AKu-aTm5FIcxlwZJU1pLBw__VLyFKFf__LATEST to compare antenna gain and antenna FOV, angle resolution difference between different antenna.
