AWR1843AOP: Beam forming scan time <60mS

I have found from the beam steering demo document (attached screenshot below), default frame duration as 60 mS, I understood this as dwell time of the beam in specific angle fed by user

Can I alter this timing ?

How much lower can I go ?

will 2mS work ?

What is the impact if i lower it to 2mS ?

HI, there:

The frame duration needs to cover the complete chirping time (chirp interval * number of loop *number of chirp) plus the frame processing time needed for signal processing. Now, you can decide whether you can reduce your frame rate.

Hi Zigang,

Thank for this information where can i see more information about chirp interval, Number of loop and number of chirp per frame ?

Can you also please help me refine my understanding, I am trying to measure velocity at reasonable resolution, from the documents i have read, I am planning to increase the number of chirps per frame to keep my velocity resolution high, and each chirp i want to use around 100Mhz as bandwidth not entire 4Ghz (i am looking for range less than 4 meters) so that i can keep the time for each chirp small < 10ms and regarding the number of loops, are you speaking about number of Tx chirp sequence transmitted per frame ??

100MHz will result in a very coarse range resolution, you may want to think twice.
