PGA900: File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x00000003 do not match Please verify target memory and memory map

Part Number: PGA900
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

today I use uniflash download sW to PGA900 through XDS200 , I finished 28 PCS , but started the 29th , i t failed, the uniflash interface showed below words:

File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x00000003 do not match Please verify target memory and memory map

so I checked the memory , the memory is also blank.

I changed another IC, but unfortunately , this situation appeared 5 times.

I changed another XDS200, NO USE.

And that time I found my notebook was low battery,  I doubted may it can effect it...so connected the power adapte,, no use..

Then I checked all the connecting wires , still no use.

but about 30 minutes later,  the error situation was disappeared . I can downloaded the sw normally.

I don't know if this error situation will appear again.so , I want to know which can cause this situation,

I eagerly hope someone can help me

many thanks  and best regards

  • Hello,

Did any settings change between the devices that programmed properly and the ones that did not? Was there any other USB device connected or disconnected that may have interfered?

    Regards,

    Scott

  • Hello Scott

thanks for your reply, there was no change ,and I used the same device .

no other USB device connect to my notebook except my mouse ,but it  connect to my notebook  all the time.

    so I guess

if the low battery of the notebook can effect the communication of XDS200?

if the the XDS200 can't s support long time working?

or the poor connecting for some wires connected to XDS200 can cause this?

    best regards

    Kim

  • Hello,

Do you have long cables from your XDS200 to the PGA900? If not, that should not be a concern, but I do recommend running a connection test through uniflash if you happen to see this error again. This will help determine if there is a problem with the target device (PGA900) or with the XDS200, or with some kind of wiring issue.

    Regards,

    Scott

  • hello Scott

the cables connecting from XDS200 to PGA 900  are about 50cm.And yesterday when I downloaded SW ,sometimes appeared this error, but I just turn off the power for the target IC PGA900,then turned on ,  no other changed, after that , I download SW into PGA900  sucessful.. This situation appeared several times.I don't know why.

From your experiences, do you think what can cause this problem?

thanks a lot and best regards

    Kim

  • Hello Kim,

Sometimes prior to loading the firmware it may be necessary to reset the target CPU before it communicates properly. I would try commanding a reset through uniflash before attempting to load your program.

In uniflash under the Program tab, you should see a "Reset Actions" menu with the option to reset the CPU.

    Regards,

    Scott
