TMP431: I2C Data Hold Time Consult

Hi Team,

Customer found the actual data hold time is around 1.36us in their board, which is beyond the value shown in D/S. The D/S and actual measure one is shown below. Could you pls estimate the potential risks here? Many thanks.

If there were some risks, did you have any suggestions to improve it?

    Hi Stanley,

    There is no risk associated with maximum hold time. There is a risk of data corruption if minimum setup or hold are violated. An excessive hold time takes away from time that could be used for setup, but this long hold time does not create a problem on its own.
