TMP117: Integration of external temperature sensor with LPSTK-CC1352R

Hi,

I am designing a wireless machine health monitoring sensor node using LPSTK-CC1352R. For my application, I need to measure the surface temperature of the machine (metallic) body. The HDC2080 on LPSTK measures the ambient air temperature. Hence, I want to integrate an external low power sensor with the LPSTK that is like a patch sensor that has an active temperature sensing surface that shall be the in contact with the machine surface.

1. Could you please suggest a relevant TI product, preferably with I2C ?

2. Any application notes for surface temperature measurement ?

3. Can TMP 117 work? Can TMP117 be in contact with the machine body ? Any application notes would really help.

4. Is there any sensor controller studio code for TMP117 integration available with CC1352R ?
