FDC2214: Questions about powering the FDC2214

Part Number: FDC2214
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FDC1004

Dear TI experts,

I am designing an FDC2214 based capacitance measurement system using battery power.

Since a 3.7V Li-Ion polymer battery is used to power the system, a voltage regulator is required.

So, can the voltage conversion be done by using a 3.3V LDO linear regulator, such as the LP3985IM5-3.3?

And, if a 3.3V DC/DC switching regulator such as the LM3671MF-3.3 is used instead, will the measurement noise of the FDC2214 be higher compared to the design using only the LDO?

Or do I need to use "DC/DC switching regulator + LDO linear regulator" to balance efficiency and noise?

Best regards,

Will
