LMT70: Aging data of the sensor

Part Number: LMT70

Good day,

What does the 0.07 mC/yr mean in the answer Kelvin Le THS gave on on 21 Aug 2018 ( and how do I correllate that with the "Time stability" op p.5 of the datasheet?

Best regards,

Rean Bootsma

  • Hello Rean,

    Thank you for your question.

The time stability spec in the LMT70 datasheet is determined by artificially aging the device at 90C for 10k hours for a high temperature operating life test. After simulating aging with 10k hours at 90C, the drift did not exceed +/-0.1C max at any temperature within the LMT70’s operating temperature range. This testing indicates that the LMT70 should not drift more than +/-0.1C max throughout its operating lifetime.

With a specific timespan and operating temperature, device drift over time could be estimated using the Arrhenius equation, however the value could be affected by external factors and we cannot guarantee values not listed in our datasheet.

    Best regards,
