My customer wants to know what the TMP235 thermal response time is for 1°C change in temperature between 25°C to 60°C.
Hello Ivy,
For temperature changes of 1°C between 25°C and 60°C, the thermal response time is roughly 24.18 mS/℃. Our collected data is shown in Figure 11 of the TMP235 data sheet. Be aware that testing was done from room air temp into an oil bath that reached ~123 degrees Celsius. Here, the part was mounted on a 1" x 1" PCB was used. Please note that there is a typo in the graph. The units for time should be in seconds. I will address this error internally.
