PGA300: DAC calibration

Part Number: PGA300

When I calibrated the DAC output of the 4 - 20mA.

Change the DAC output to a higher value, it will cause the PGA300 to be reset as the a higher current jumper (eg. from 3mA to 20mA) when the DAC output is enable due to the resistance (about 200ohm) on the loop.

How could I implement the DAC output in the 4-20mA calibration in this configurations?

  • Hello Haifeng,

What is the VDD supply for your system? At 20mA you could see a drop of 4V across your loop resistance, so a loop supply of less than 7.3V would end up dropping below 3.3V at the PGA300 and causing a reset. You may need to increase the loop supply voltage or decrease the loop resistance to make sure the PGA300 is powered properly.

    Regards,
