AWR2243: SPI mode confirm

HI team,

in document C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_02_02_04_00\docs\mmWave-Radar-Interface-Control.pdf. page 19. it said that SPI needs to be operated at Mode 0 (Phase 1, Polarity 0)

But in configuration in "C:\ti\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_02_00_03\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_02_00_03\ti\demo\am273x\mmw\mss\mss.syscfg", it's "POL0_PHA1" MODE1.

Question: which one is correct?

Also, in customer test, he use FPGA to drive SPI communicate with 2243. Then they found they need to use Mode 0 (Phase 0, Polarity 0) to communicate with 2243, the "POL0_PHA1" MODE1 doesn't work.

I had attach the waveform they used, can you please help to confirm if these waveform is correct?

Hi Wesley,

Please note DFP 2.2.3.1 corresponds to AWR2243 in the mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_02_00_03. You can refer to its ICD which recommends using SPI mode 0. The configuration you are referring to is specifically for am273x device and not applicable as it is for 2243. Use mode 0 for 2243.

The question is, how did you define the MODE0? in the DFP2.2.3.1 the mode 0 is (Phase 1, Polarity 0)

But general speaking, (Phase 1, Polarity 0) is MODE 1. MODE0 should be (Phase 0, Polarity 0)
