TMP431: TMP431, TMP411 difference

Part Number: TMP431
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP411,

Hi,

May I use TMP411B to replace TMP431, in case beta correction is not used. from register map, TMP431 has few registers than TMP411, but not sure the conversion of HEX to Dec. has same calculation.

  • Hi Alan,

Thank you for posting to the Sensing forum.

The TMP411 can be used instead of the TMP431 if the automatic beta compensation feature is not needed. Both devices have four 8-bit registers that hold temperature measurement results. The TMP411 has programmable resolution for the local temperature, 9 to 12 bits, while the TMP431 supports 12 bit resolution. The default for the TMP411 is 9 bits and can be configured with the RES1 and RES0 bits of the Resolution Register.

    Best regards,
    Nicole
