HDC2022: The ratio of heating time to product life

Hi team,

     We know that hdc2022 could heat itself.The customer worries about that the self-heating could introduce potential risks.

      Q1. How long can HDC2022 self-heat at a time?

      Q2 The ratio of heating time to product life. (for example, the ratio is 10%, the product life is 24k hours, we can see that the heating time is 2.4k hours, which means we could use internal heater of hdc2022 2.4hrs per day.  )

    Hi Nan,

    While we don't have an explicit spec published in our datasheet, it is true that running the heater infrequently and for short periods of time (such as a few minutes) will not affect the lifetime of the product. You can start to expect changes in product lifetime when the heater is run continuous for hours or days at a time. A safe amount of time to use the heater is  around 15 minutes for every two weeks of operation.

    Additionally, please take a look at the HDC20XX Silicon User's Guide. On page 14, you will see a bit more details on the heater's response.
