AWR1443BOOST: Capture raw ADC data

Hi there,

I want to use AWR1443BOOST to capture raw RAD or Range-angle-doppler data. May I kindly ask whether it is possible to only use this board and PC to achieve it? And I do not care sampling speed, maybe 1 or 2 frames per second is fine.

Hi,

In order to capture raw data you would need a DCA1000 capture card. It is not possible to capture raw data only with AWR1443BOOST EVM.

Hi,

Thank you for your information. By the way, I successfully use the mmWave Demo Visualizer to show the realtime Range-Angle and Range-Doppler map. Is there some way for me to save those realtime data instead? Those range-angle-doppler data is also fine.

Hi,

What is the version of the Visualizer you are using?

Some versions of the Visualizer have record capability. However unfortunately we provide scripts to parse the output only for the AWR1843BOOST oob demo.

Hi,

Yes, as you can see in the "PLOTS" tab there is a "RECORD START" button.

SO, you should be able to record the output data. However as I mentioned there are no parsing scripts provided for this version in the SDK. However some forum members have developed parsing scripts in the past.
