I would like to know is there a way to get the Serial Number or chip ID by reading a register. If so, please provide the register name or register address.

Can you let me know if you are looking for address to store a unique ID of your own?

The AWR2944 device has an API AWR_RF_DIEID_GET_SB to get the die ID. You can find this API in the ICD.
