the replacement of the MMWAVEICBOOST that we received last June stopped working out of the blue. Meanwhile the IWR1443 that we be using since January is still working fine without issues.

the first one we had stopped workin after 2-3 months of being used and since this is the second time this happens, i believe that the MMWAVEICBOOST is a faulty carrier board.

Any inputs ?

It is the ID for the MMWAVEICBOOST board. Kindly get a new replacement for the board as we shall not be able to help regarding this production issue.

Hi,

I would need to more details to root cause the issue. Please get a replacement board while we are debugging. Could you perhaps clarify what you meant when you said that the work has stopped? Has the device stopped functioning/booting or is there a problem with a certain interface? Please check if the DS3 (NERROUT LED) lights red to see if the xWR device has a HW issue. Additionally, confirm that the SOP signals and power supply are stable before releasing the NRESET. Verify that every power supply are within the recommended specifications for the MMWAVEIC BOOST.

Please check the below user guide for MMWAVEICBOOST. The Table 2-15 provides the list of LEDs and usage. Kindly check and let me know the status of all LEDs which shall enable us to debug further.

The device cannot be recognized by the Demo visualiser anymore, it also won’t flash or when I launch the code for data collection, nothing is showing, meaning nothing is being collected anymore.

Are you able to see the COM Ports in device manager ? Kindly check and let me know the status of all LEDs. The Table 2-15 provides the list of LEDs and usage.

Hi Mickael,

The image is not very clear. Could you please elaborate the status of each LED.

Also, could you confirm the status of the LEDs as I could check,

D11 Green

D14 Green

DS1 Yellow

D10 Red

DS3 Red ??

DS4 Red

If the DS3 is Red it suggests there is HW error in the xWR device. Since, the D11 is Green it suggests that the input is greater than 5V. If the input is greater than 5V the below modifications need to be done.
