Hello,
I am having problems with the serial communication of the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM + MMWCAS-RF-EVM.

What have I done:
I have followed the mmWave Studio Cascade guide`s until chapter 5. Booting the EVM. After I open up the COM port, nothing is sent over UART. I have a similar issue to e2e.ti.com/.../mmwcas-dsp-evm-no-communication-over-the-serial-port-nor-the-ethernet.
When I connect over Putty/TerraTerm to the COM port the FTDI`s TX leds blink a few times, than they stay on. When I close Putty the leds turn off. I have all the leds on both RF and DSP are on.

Small mention: one time after many reset cycles I have managed to get the attached response in the terminal. But only once, never again.

What have I tried to make it work:
1. I have tried several times to reset the TDA2XX board with S1.
2. I have checked wether S4 boot selection switches are in place. Switched them back and forth for a few times to make sure they make contact.
3. I have flashed several SD-cards with the sdimage_3_7_1.img.xz that can be found in TDA2Firmware.
4. I have removed the RF-EVM from DSP-EVM and tried booting it without.
5. I have removed the SSD from DSP-EVM and tried booting it without.
6. I have tried to update the FTDI drivers.
7. I have tried to boot the DSP without an SD card to see how it behaves but its the same.

Hi,

Yesterday I was further investigating this subject trying to point out where / what issue could be with the EVM.

I found out when the EVM is cooled down to 6-10 degrees celsius, and i press U29 with my finger downwards the EVM indeed does boot, and logs are sent over UART:

In case that I do not press U29 DDR down, but still with a 10 degree celsius EVM it sends broken characters over UART:

I have also attached the UART logs that I got, maybe it could be helpfull to find the specific issue:
