IWR1443: mmWave sensors for ground penetrating radar

As a general question, I would like to know what are your thoughts on using these devices for implementing a ground penetrating radar.

    Hello David,

    We have tried some experiments with seeing objects in the ground and found that the radar is not able to penetrate the ground and detect the objects. The shorter wavelength means that the radar is only able to penetrate a few millimeters. I do not believe the IWR1443 is suitable for this type of application.
