Linux/AWR1642BOOST: AWR1642 ROS driver error

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Tool/software: Linux

I am running the ROS driver provided by TI on AWR1642BOOST. I have already used Uniflash to get the 1642 firmware onto the board. Now I run the ROS driver and get the error:

Would anyone help? Appreciate in advance

  • Hi Renyuan,

I would suggest you to verify a few things:

    1. Make sure that your power supply is rated for 5v/2.5A. If the power supply cannot provide at least 2.5A, the board configuration will fail.

    2. Make sure the SOP2 jumper on the TI mmWave EVM has been removed after flashing.

    3. As a basic HW/SW checkout, after flashing the SDK Demo, make that you can run the SDK Out of Box Demo with the mmWaveDemoVisualizer and that you are able to get the point cloud output before trying the ROS Point Cloud Visualizer Lab.

    Thanks

    -Nitin

  • I found my issue solution. It is because the sdk version. We need a 1.02 version instead of 2.00 version. I do not know the version difference on the demo.bin file. But it solved my problem
