Hello,

I am trying to build a distance measurement sensor with range upto 100 meters and a 1 cm resolution. Can someone help me with a starting point from the portfolio of IC and a development kit.

    Hi Prudhvi,
    For your usecase, IWR1443/1642/6843 will be good option, which EVM you can from ti.com
    For software you need to use mmWave-SDK which has reference application and user guide.
    And further you can visit TI-Rex for other reference application for same mmWave Sensor.

    Each device comes with its own properties and range and resolution specs, IWR1443 can provide more than 100m range and ~4cm range resolution.

    Hello,
    Thank you for the support. Are you talking about this evaluation module aswell- "IWR1443BOOST Evaluation Module" or  "IWR1642BOOST'. I have not come across the range in its document.

    Hi Prudhvi,

    The max range is directly dependent on the antenna design.

    Please see the mmWave Antenna Database at the following link for a comparison of the max range for the antennas on the IWR1443BOOST, IWR1642BOOST, and IWR6843ISK EVMs.
