CCS/PGA460: The PGA460 detects virtual targets

Part Number: PGA460

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

类似于我圈出来的。
在空旷地区,时变增益设置为60-80db,8MS间隔。当75PVC位于4米以上时,就会出现虚警,且恒定滞后实警(目标物)约1米的TOF。幅度约为实警的0.4倍。

Something like that.

In open areas, time-varying gain is set to 60-80db and 8MS interval. When the 75PVC is located at more than 4 meters, the false alarm will appear, and the TOF of the real alarm (target object) is about 1 meter with a constant lag.The amplitude is about 0.4 times of the real alarm.

  • How do I filter out this virtual alert?
  • Hi boer.deng,

Does the false positive always occur at the same distance (~2m)? This could indicate that time decouple mode is not disabled or a real object reflection is present (i.e. wall/ceiling/ground bounce).

Have you maximized the time decouple mode to 65ms? Maximizing this value deactivates the time decouple mode. Depending on when time decouple mode is activated, the decouple switch can occasionally show up as large transient noise on the receiver.

If you cover the transducer with sponge (or block its FOV), does the false positive disappear? This will prove if the echo reflection is real, or a system/device artifact.
  • The detection range is 0-4 meters, but there is false alarm from 4 meters away,The false alarm will be fixed for about 1 meter after the real alarm;Environmental factors have been taken into consideration,I want to be a cautionary tale

  • Hi boer.deng,
Can you save and send me the Memory Map's text output file? I need to load your settings into my GUI for review.
