Can you advise how I can measure ECG signal with EVM?

Part Number: AFE4900EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE4900

Hi

Can you give me an idea on how to set up AFE490skylabs_AFE4900.zip0 EVM  in order to measure ECG signal?

My custoemr has tested AFE4900 EVM  & GUI Tool so as to check PPG & ECG.

Regarding PPG signal measurement, Customer succeeded to check signal captured by AFE4900 without any problem.

But Customer failed to measure ECG signal. When referred to datasheet and Application note( AFE4900 Evalutation Module), It was not complicated to set up necessary parameters.

For doing test, Customer generated ECG signal with simluator linked at http://www.kimes.kr/kr/search_old/product_popup.asp?no=20737&id=samyoung&frame=map_frame

Parameters which customer set  are as below.

  1. ENABLE_PTT =1
  2. LEO enable mode ( Not Set “ LDO_BYPASS”)
  3. PRF as set by a 32.768KHz external clock
  4. INA Gain = up to 12
  5. Chopping mode enable ( Set “ ENABLE_ECG_CHOP”)
  6. Lead off-detect disabled ( Not set “EN_ILEADOFF”)
  7. Options for the “Filter” tab

Remove the DC component. / Enable Notch filter and set the Notch Frequency to 50 Hz or 60 Hz./ Enable the Low Pass Filter (LPF)

To verify the above setting, Customer generated signal level up to 5-Vmm higher than normal level=1Vp-p and Saw captured Signal even though the level was lower than example on AFE4900 Evalutation Module (Figure 9, Sample ECG Waveform).

Please let me know appropriate parameter setting for observing ECG waveform.
I appreciate your help in advance.
Best Regards
Mark Kim
