Can you help me to slove this problem?

I want to use the AWR1243Boost and DCA1000EVM to caputure the raw radar data, which is implemented with mmWave Studio 2.0.0.2. See the picture, I setup the radar module, com deriver and ethernet ip as the instruction mannal correctly( see the picture). But in mmWave Studio software the RS232 connectivity cannot connect. What is more, the ethernet cannot work (ip has been set correctly).

The problem is :

1. How to connect the RS232 ?

2.How to confirm the work of ethernet?

Yuyong,

Make sure you set the connection speed to 921600. Also make sure to issue the software reset before the RS232 connection step.

You should also use the latest version of mmWave Studio, version 2.1, that you can find here: http://software-dl.ti.com/ra-processors/esd/MMWAVE-STUDIO/latest/index_FDS.html

Yuyong,

Make sure that you are not using a passive USB hub for the two USB cables that connect to the AWR1243BOOST EVM and the DCA1000EVM.

We have seen scenarios that use passive USB hubs where all size COM ports show up in Windows Device Manager but the user is not able to connect to the device.

Hi Kyle,

I am sorry that it is not the issue. The two USB cables are connected with two seperated USB ports in the computer (not with a passive USB hub). We try three computer, and one is Win7 system and another two are Win10 system. The issue is existed for all cases.

One information may require attention. In order to install the FTDI deriver of DCA1000 EVM successfully, I must to cancel the driver digital signature enforcement.

I wonder whether it is ok for the setting of SW1 and SW2 in DCA1000 EVM board?

Yuyong,

We are in the process of releasing new FTDI drivers so you will not need to disable the digital signature enforcement.

Please refer to the documentation for the DCA1000 to determine the correct positions for SW1 and SW2.
