Hi Anon,
Have you seen the DCA1000EVM Training Video?
We'll need some time to look into this.
Regards,

Hi,
You configuration and connection are all set correctly. IF you see a difference in the first frame than the rest, I would say it is the temperature is ramping up. We also see that the first chirp looks slightly different than the rest of the chirps in the frame if the idle time is longer.
Best,
Zigang
Hi Zigang,
Thanks for the prompt response. I decreased the idle time to 16us and decrease the TX duty cycle and saw the same issue.
Do you recommend any sample waveforms that should work ?
Thanks!
Can you send the configuration to me? what is the device version and which firmware binary are you using?
Best,
Zigang
HI,
Sorry for the delay. For the radar studio to work, you have to load the BSS/MSS binary from the radar studio directory.
C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_00_00\rf_eval_firmware\radarss\xwr68xx_radarss.bin
and
C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_00_00\rf_eval_firmware\masterss\xwr68xx_masterss.bin
Other demo binary won't work for radar studio data capture.
Assuming you have a xwr6843 ES2 EVM. For xwr6843 ES1 board, you need to use the mmwave studio version 02.00.00.01.

Zigang
Hi Zigang,
Thanks for the feedback. When I flash the firmware through MmWaveStudio it automatically flashes xwr68xx_radarss.bin and xwr68xx_masterss.bin.
Running the sample script: DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua still shows the same issue with no difference between frames.
I have now tried this on 2 different IWR6843ISKs and I noticed no difference.
Is there an issue with my process? What process are you guys using to get the 60 GHz module showing correct data?
Thanks
Can you show me some plot to show how much difference is there between the first frame and the rest of the frame?
Best,
Zigang
HI,
First, from the result, it looks like you have enabled the test source. It is OK if you meant to do this.
Second, I could not find any discrepancy between the first frame and second frame, can you highlight it?
Best,
Zigang
Hi,
You have enabled the Test source which causes same data across frames.
Could you please disable the Test source and try.
Thanks and regards,
