National Semiconducor NTC thermistor reference

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP61, TMP63, TMP64

Hello,

I work for AEVA in France and in one of our old equipment we used a thermistance but we do not have reference in our bill of material and in our archives, and we think that the manufacturer was National Semiconductor acquired by Texas Instruments.

The designation in our system is "THERMIS-NS 06H 00680 J 5%". We think that "NS" is for National Semiconductor, "06H" is the package/style, "00680" is for the resistance value 68ohms and "J" is the code for "5%".

In an old bill of material the designation is "Thermistor NTC - DTGP34 68ohms 10%".

So we research a thermistor NTC, 68ohms with a tolerance of 5% or 10%. It must be a through-hole thermistor following our PCB drawing.

Can you help us to find the corresponding reference and send us the datasheet if this thermistor was alright manufactured by National Semiconductor ?

Thank you,

Vincent

  • Dear Vincent -

We cannot confirm this part number for you and TI does not make this device or any NTC - sorry about that. We do make temperature sensing PTCs which are silicon based, but not one in this effective resistance at 25C range. (we make 10k, 100k and 47k parts....TMP61, TMP63 and TMP64 respectively) I did find several 68 Ohm through hole NTC parts on distributor websites, so perhaps that is the answer for you here, in this situation - to find a current/active device and update your BOM. Hope that helps.

  • Thank you for yor answer, I will continue my research.

    Best regards.
