FDC1004: How to increase sensitivity

Hi,

My customer is evaluating the FDC1004 EVM with the original board sensor as a proximity sensor and wants to increase sensitivity as much as possible.

Is there any register related to sensitivity except for GAIN, and a sensor shape of good sensitivity?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us regarding FDC1004. The sample rate sets the resolution of the measurement. Lower the sample rate higher is the resolution of the measurement.

Hi Kuramochi-san,

FDC1004 is designed for liquid level sensing applications. Please refer to the FDC1004: Basics of Capacitive Sensing and Applications to understand how shape and size affect the capacitive sensing.
