OPT3001: Question of Test Distance of OPT3001 Datasheet

Hi Sirs,

Would you please provide recommendations of the distance between glass cover and OPT3001 device of the test configurations of datasheet fig 32?
Can we test the OPT3001 with zero distance between window and OPT3001 device?

Hi Wayne,

Yes, zero distance between sensor and glass is okay. You can refer to the field of view section in the same app note for more info on how the distance effects the field of view. Generally smaller distance is better and gives larger field of view for the same window size.
