Hello,

Hope that you are well and good.

I would like to measure inductive signal direct  from steel rebar or H beam without using additional spring attached.

Is it necessary to wind the coil directly on the reinforcing steel bar diameter 19mm or H beam in order to obtain the inductive signal?

Otherwise Should a large size coil be attached?

    Can you clarify more information on how or what is being measured ? Our LDC products can be used to detect metal. 

    For use cases and limitations of the LDC products I recommend please go through the Common applications App note and also please refer to the Inductive Sensing FAQ to learn more about the design.
