TS5A22362: Negative input application

Part Number: TS5A22362
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS60403, CD74HC4053

Dear expert,

Input signal is +/-2.5V when in 3.3VCC application.

Based on recommendation operating condition, TS5A22362 cannot support this application. (3.3-5.5=-2.2V)

But tale1 show input signal can down to -2.5V when VCC=3.6V.

Could you let me know if TS5A22362 is good for this application(3.3VCC) or not? Thanks.

Regards,

Ben

  • In table 1, the minimum values for 3.6 V and 4.5 are wrong; they were accidentally taken from the row below. At 3.6 V, the minimum is −1.9 V.

You need to reduce the signal level, or use a switch that allows dual supplies (e.g., CD74HC4053). (If you do not have a negative supply, you can create it with an inverter like the TPS60403.)

  • Hey Ben,

I believe Clemens is correct here and it's simple a typo. We'll work on fixing that in the datasheet on our end.
I agree with Clemens suggestions here as well.

    Thanks,
    Rami
