SN74CBTLV3251: more leakage on B8

Part Number: SN74CBTLV3251

Hello,

SN74CBTLV3251RGYR, when powered off, should have 20uA leakage into it. It’s complying with that,

but we are seeing much higher leakage on B8 than any of the other inputs. Is there anything in the chip

architecture that can explain this? Leakage is higher on B8 than other pins, does that make sense?

Again, it’s not broken or wrong, we just happen to have a nosy customer who wants an explanation of

some weirdness we are seeing and we narrowed it down to this observation.

Thanks,

Adam

  • Hey Adam,

There isn't anything in the architecture that would explain why only B8 would have a higher leakage. The channels should be pretty symmetrical. Is this exact behavior seen across multiple devices and is the load and inputs otherwise the exact same for all 8 I/O's?

    Thanks,
    Rami
