TS5A22364: Which technique are used at "Negative Signaling Capability"?

Part Number: TS5A22364
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS5A22362

Hello team,

My customer would like to use TS5A22364 or TS5A22362 so they would like to know how "Negative Signaling Capability" features can be used with 2.3~5.5VCC and GND?

Please let me know.

Best Regards,

Ernest Cho

  • Hi Ernest,

The Negative Signaling Capability allows for negative signals below GND to pass through w/o distortion using only a single supply voltage. Specifically, it allows for signals as low as VCC - 5.5V to pass through, so the passable negative signal range would depend on what VCC your customer is using. Here is a table showing the maximum & minimum signal ranges for different VCCs.

Something to keep in mind as well is that the Negative Signaling Capability does not permit signals below GND in the OFF state (when the device is powered off).

    Regards,

    Santiago
