SN74CB3Q3251: Rail to Rail operation (true zero)

Part Number: SN74CB3Q3251

Hi to everyone! my design is an analog input stage, with single supply circuitry and true zero capability on the op-amp (thx, TI Slight smile for your application notes). My question is if the use of SN74CB3Q3251 would disturb the true zero capability. This device is marked as 'Support Input voltage beyond the supply'. Does it apply also to the GND supply rail? (I don't mean negative voltages, of course)

  • Voltages below GND are outside the recommended operating conditions, so there is no guarantee. But as long as the clamping diodes do not yet turn on (at about −0.5 V), I would not expect anything bad to happen.
