Hi Team,

My customer is using TS3USB221E with DRC package. There is thermal pad under the package. We don't know whether this pin is connected to GND or not connected. Could you help check it?

Michael,

Yes, for best the best thermal performance of the system you should connect the thermal pad to ground in order to effectively dissipate the heat.

Hi Adam,

I just had another customer ask me this question after not finding it in the datasheet. Can I suggest that some mention of this be made in the datasheet for future customer concerns.

As is the DRCR package is not addressed in the layout guidelines.
