Hai,

I am trying to recreate a control panel that is a row of buttons where only one button can be pressed at a time.

Pressing any one button clears any other that was on.

Can anyone help me by providing logical solution through hardware components or circuits. I can do it by coding but i want it by hardware circuit.

Does "pressed" mean that one button is physically pressed in? Or should the state be shown with LEDs?

Yes, "pressed" means i am physically pressing one button and corresponding led should glow and all other buttons with corresponding led's should go into off state

To store the LED states, you need one flip-flop per LED. Each switch sets one flip-flop. All switches are combined into a single signal that clears all flip-flops, but the clear signal must be filtered out if the flip-flop's corresponding switch is active.

You need flip-flops with individual set/clear inputs, e.g., SN74LVC74A.

Thanks for the reply. i am using button not only to glow led, i am using buttons for other operation to send some signal. So, each button should be capable of sending required signal and glow led when ever it is pressed. and all other buttons should be in off condition. and i don't have any common signal to give to clear input to a flip-flop.

To combine all switches into a common clear signal, use a bunch of AND gates (for active-low switches) or OR gates (active-high).
