Hi,

I need to interface UART1/DCAN1 pins of AM3358 to RS232, RS485 and CAN transceivers one at a time. I am thinking of using TMUX1209. I am mainly concerned about interfacing DCAN pins of AM3358 to the CAN transceiver(TCAN332 or SN65HVD232) via the switch.

Is it suitable for my application? Please suggest an alternative component that is suitable for my application.

You can use any 3:1 or 4:1 two-channel 3.3 V switch.

The SN74LV4052A would be cheaper, but has slightly worse electrical characteristics (which do not matter for digital signals) and a larger package.

Hi Sai Ram,

As Clemens indicated, the TMUX1209 will work for this application. The voltage levels are in the right range, and the bandwidth is adequate for your application.
