I've installed the new Grace Beta (...72) and tried two things:
1. Create a new project, without using any templates. Result - I cannot find the .cfg file. The new project looks just like a non-Grace project.
2. Create a new project, using a Grace template (Timer_A). Result - the .cfg is there, and Grace seems to be responding. (Have not Built anything, but the windows are there to configure peripherals etc.)
What's going on here? Seems like without using a Grace template, it doesn't create Grace version? If so, the instructions should state, "You MUST pick a Grace template and then modify it. Do not pick a blank template for your project."
Or should both (1) and (2) have create a Grace project?
Thanks in advance.
Chuck,
In the current implementation it is not possible to apply a template after project create. This is something that the team is looking into though.

John
Then I guess I'm suggesting that there should be a "blank" Grace Template to use. I had to use a Grace Example to create a Grace project, so it hauls in stuff that may not be relevant. No big deal for a Beta release.
Chuck,
By far, the best way to create a new Grace project is to use the CCS New Project Wizard and use either one of the Grace examples as a starting point, or the "Empty MSP430 Grace Project" as a starting point. It seems like the latter is what you are saying is missing, but I'm hoping that you just didn't see it. You should find it under the "Empty Projects" menu.
