CCS Theia - Error running post-instal step

Greetings everyone,

I've run into an error while trying to install CCS Theia v1.3.1 on Windows 11. Specifically, a warning popped up right before the installation was completed, saying it was not able to run the node.exe file. I've attached a screenshot of the error below.

I have tried running CCS after installation and it seems to work fine at a glance, although I have not done any actual work with it yet. Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, have you taken any steps to rectify this?

Hello,

I noticed that there is a whitespace character in your user name. This can be a potential issue:

I am trying to confirm if this is indeed the issue. I'll pass on any updates as I receive them.

Can you open the below file in an editor:

<CCS THEIA INSTALL DIR>\ccs\ccs_base\cloudagent\config.json

And see if it looks like:

{

"userDataRoot": "../",

"loadersRoot": "../../../",

"desktopMode": true

}

It is likely you are missing the last line ("desktopMode": true) in the file if the post-install step failed. If it is indeed missing, please manually add it. We will look to prevent this from happening in the future but please note the warning regarding whitespaces in the user name in the link I sent in my previous post.

That was indeed the case!

I thought having a whitespace character in the username might have caused it, but I did not really know how to go about fixing it.

Glad to hear you were able to resolve the issue!

Please note that other concerns regarding how whitespace characters can impact project builds (of SYS/BIOS projects), GUI Composer runtime, etc.

worked for me as well!

I ignored this warning thinking it could be some network problem and the installation completed.
I was able to launch the CCS, compile the code but when try to upload and debug the code an cloud error pop up.

Adding the "desktopMode": true solved the issues.

By the way, my windows username folder have whitespace too.
