Dear friends,
CCS5.0.3 and CCS4.2.2 use different version XDCTools. For XDCTools, it needs some environment setting which make it work properly. The situation is that on the same PC some guys would use CCS4.2.2 and some will use CCS5.0.3, these 2 project have different development environments i.e. XDCTools/BIOS/CGT setting. If I am going to install CCS5.0.3 and CCS4.2.2 in the same PC (which is CCS4.2.2 was installed earlier) and wish CCS5.0.3 to use it's own XDCTools/BIOS/CGT setting without conflict to that of CCS4.2.2, can this work? Does someone tell me what else I should pay attention to? Is there any document I can refer to? Thanks a lot.
Best regards,
Neville Chen
Hello,
There are no problems with multiple installations of CCSv4 and v5. Just install in different directories and have them use different workspace folders.
Thanks

For environment variable "XDCPATH", can they use the same one? It means XDCTools in CCS4 and CCS5 search for RTSC packages (such as SYSBIOS6) for the same path. If we want to use different XDCPATH setting for CCS4 and CCS5, i.e. SYSBIOS6 6.31 for CCS4 and SYSBIOS6 6.32 for CCS5, how to achieve it? Thanks a lot.

Ah, those environment variables. Yes, you may have to set those as you switch between versions. That is a bit of a pain...
