Hello,
when installing CCS5.2 on a Win XP PC I get several "Installation failed" messages. Finally the installer claims : "successfully installed".
When starting CCS 5.2 I only see a bare Eclipse installation without any TI plugins.
I downloaded "ccs_setup_5.2.0.00069.exe" for installation. A previous CCS 5.1 installation was de-installed before installing CCS 5.2. (incl. re-boot).
The installer seems to be ok as a colleague did a successful installation on a brand new Win 7 PC (no CCS installed before).
Any idea how to solve the problem ?
Best regards,
Mario
PS : I attached the InstallJammer Registry directory contents and a few screenshots ....
Hi Mario,
I suspect the issue might be I see you have used directories with spaces .. in particular Documents and Settings.
Please try using only directories with no space or accented/special characters and keep us informed. (Eg use only c:/ti or c:/mycccs)

Lisa
Hi Lisa,
thank you for your fast answer ..... unfortunately this did not help.
Any other idea ?
Best regards,
Mario
Hi Mario,
can you please confirm what you did? I did see it your logs it does seem the directory is the issue. Did you try a fresh installation? I am also wondering whether your unzip utility is using a temp directory with such a problem. Please double check that as well.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Mario,
Do you have an unzip program on your path? It looks like the installer cannot find the unzip utility or it's corrupted (see error in log below). Please make sure there's a valid unzip utility on the path before running the install. I hope this helps.
couldn't unzip idebuildRepo.zip: The system cannot execute the specified program.

Lisa, Danish,
there is an unzip in the PATH and the installer is located in a directory without spaces ......
Anyway unzip caused this problem as it was a pretty old one which could not handle the compression format.
After deleting this unzip I was able to install CCS5.2 without problems ......
I'm still wondering why the installer relies on a local unzip. On another PC there is no unzip in the PATH but
installation worked pretty well .....
Best regards,
Mario
Hi Mario,
glad to hear it is sorted. All the best with things.

Lisa
