Hi,
am I correct in understanding you saw an error during installation? The best would be if you could provide the installation logs and any further details. The logs will be in the installjammer registry directory. this may be a hidden folder and will be found in program files or program files(x86).
Although Win 8 is support we work towards adding, we do have customers using it successfully. A few things that might cause files to be missing like that
- double check for antivirus or permissions issues. it is possible an antivirus program blocked or deleted something at some stage.
- do not use the program files directory and make sure you install and launch on the same account with full privileges
If you will be attempting a fresh installation I would also recommend redownloading as another possible issue could be simple file corruption.
Please keep us informed.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Thank you for your answer. Yes, I see an error during the instalation.
Here is my installation log --> 5342.ccs_setup_5.3.0.00090_install.log
The antivirus and permissions are all Ok.
Hi,
I believe the problem is being caused by using the following directory
C:\Users\ADMIN\AppData\Local\Temp\Rar$EXa0.878\CCS5.3.0.00090_win32\ccs_setup_5.3.0.00090.exe
CCS will not like the . or $.
Could you please fully unzip and install to c:/ti?
Please keep us informed how that works.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi,
I would go ahead and click yes to install. As mentioned, official support is coming.
Best Regards,
Lisa
I clicked it and the error is the same.
The new log file -->1464.ccs_setup_5.3.0.00090_install.log
Hi,
we think the following happened. In your first installation, as mentioned, CCS did not like the $ in your temp path and did not complete successfully. When you tried a second time, we think what happened is the installed ended up in rerun mode which is not good.
Would you please try the following:
- clean up your installation (CCS partial install(s)) and installjammer installation logs to date
- fully unzip and install CCS to a fresh and simple directory such as c:/myccs for example.
Please keep us informed.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi,
just thought I would check for any updates with your enquiry and whether the tips helped.
Best Regards,
Lisa
I'm trying to install CCS 5.3 in Windows 8 and the installation crashes. Some files are missing (mkhex4bin.exe, etc...) but I can use it.
How can I install it correctly?
Thank you!
